PRAYER TO ST. JOHN MARY VIANNEY

Dear St. John Mary Vianney, Cure of Ars,

We recall with admiration your detachment from the things of the world; Your deep humility and acceptance of humiliations,

Your fortitude in trials and against the assaults of the devil,

Your purity, union with God and love of the Eucharist,

Your compassion for all those in want — the sick, the poor and the sinners.

 

True priest of the Most High, help the priests of our vicariate

ever to keep striving towards the acquisition of these virtues,

so that they can become shepherds after God’s own heart.
